I’ll be honest, this episode is not my finest hour and I basically ramble and babble on for the entire thing, but the episode is SAVED by wonderful audio comments that were submitted by Gargoyle and New Mutant from thecomicforums.com. In it I learn that New Mutant is in fact, NOT British.
Covered in this episode, Season 12 of the classic Doctor Who series, including the following serials:
- The Ark in Space
- The Sontaran Experiment
- Genesis of the Daleks
- Revenge of the Cybermen
Listen to the episode and then let me know your feelings/thoughts on Genesis of the Daleks by emailing to JBCBDB@gmail.com. Keep those audio comments coming… they really do save these shows!
Okay, cart before the horse here… the supplemental to episode 68 is being released before episode 68. I just knew I needed to hunker down and get this recorded first, otherwise I’d use up all my free time on the “regular” drawerbox again not get to it.
This episode should probably be called Torchwood Supplemental though, because I spend more time on that show than Doctor Who… but the main topic of the show is a “virtual conversation” with Bruce Rosenberger of Komicskast about Doctor Who and podcasting in general. Bruce has some insightful commentary on podcasting and also shares his experiences with Doctor Who. Check it out.
To share your thoughts and comments on this episode, Doctor Who, or anything else that strikes your fancy, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://www.thecomicforums.com and look for the Drawerbox sub-forum.
As an experiment, I’m going to try breaking the Doctor Who conversation off as a separate download. Some people love the Doctor Who stuff, some people hated it, so hopefully this will be a way to please everyone. Check out this introductory episode for the full explanation.
I’m thrilled to have this episode recorded at all… my laptop needed to be rebuilt after an encounter with Vista service pack 1, and it sucked up most of my usual recording time… as a result, I’m even LESS prepared than usual for this episode.
